Where My Work Began
For more than two decades, my work has centered on two moments that shape a life: the earliest years of a child's development, and the turning points adults face along the way. I was drawn to psychology because I wanted to meet people in those moments with real understanding, and to offer something practical and genuinely human.
My Training And Credentials
I hold a doctorate in clinical psychology and have over 25 years of clinical experience. Early in my career, I trained in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) directly under its founder, Dr. Albert Ellis, Dr. Raymond DiGiuseppe, and the wonderful Janet Wolfe. I am a Certified Supervisor and Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Albert Ellis Institute. I am licensed in New York and New Jersey, am an expert in evaluating children under 5 years of age, and provide services in Spanish as well.
How It Feels To Work Together
My work is shaped not only by my training, but by my lived experience as an immigrant, a first-generation college student, and a parent to neurodivergent youth. I bring a professional and direct, yet warm and personable style to help adults work through relationship issues, life adjustments, depression, and anxiety. I have also worked closely with parents and siblings of individuals with ASD, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
Expert Care for Your Child’s Growth and Development
I have extensive expertise conducting developmental and psychological evaluations for young children starting at 8 months and up to 5 years of age. I have extensive experience in the early diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders, and I can assess the whole range of developments, including identifying gifted preschoolers. I am licensed in New York and New Jersey. I work with Spanish-speaking individuals and families.
